Donna Summer died of lung cancer, but the singer wasn't a smoker, and the cancer wasn't related to smoking, her family's representative said Friday.
Summer's family issued the announcement in the wake of how "various reports currently surfacing about the cause of Ms. Summer's death are not accurate," representative Brian Edward said.
"Obviously, numerous factors can be attributed to the cause of cancer in general, but any details regarding the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of Ms. Summer's case remain between her family and team of doctors," Edwards said in a statement.
Five-time Grammy winner Summer, 63, known as the "queen of disco" during the 1970s, died Thursday at age 63.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe that Donna died of Cancer. I believe Donna died of AIDS. There are a lot of celebrities who are living with HIV/AIDS. Magic Johnson infected so many people before he tested positive. He didn't know he had it..while holding several relationships with different women. He also mentioned for his boys to get tested. It's the same with Eazy-E. There are so many celebrities hiding the fact that they are living with AIDS. Jay-Z is infected and gave the disease to Nas baby mother Carmen. Beyonce is infected too! They pay top dollar for the best medicine to care for their condition.

I guess Donna didn't get treated for cancer. Instead she hid her illness and suffered in silence.
People hide their illness if they are suffering from AIDS. All celebrities refuse to take the Easy-E and Magic Johnson route.
Instead, they will rather rename their battle with AIDS to cancer.
It was so strange for Donna's camp to say she caught Cancer during 9/11. She wasn't the only celebrity living near the world trade center during that time.
Did Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee develop cancer? They were living within walking distance from the trade center.
Donna's career was pushed aside after she discovered that she was infected with HIV.
