Screen Actors Guild Awards
In preparation of the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, photographers captured workers in fire suits today pouring molten bronze metal into molds and Joaquin Quintero (pictured above) applying a green-black patina to one of the bronze Screen Actors Guild Award statuettes during the casting of the Screen Actors Guild Award statuettes, at the American Fine Arts Foundry in Burbank, California. Each statuette carries a serial number engraved at its base and 660 statuettes have been awarded since the Actor was first presented in 1995. The Actor statuette weighs 12 pounds and stands 16inches tall. The Awards are to be held in Los Angeles on January 30:
