Celestine Knowles

Beyonce and Solange childhood home is on the market in Houston, TX. The property is located at 20 Farnham Park Drive and is selling for a little over $3 million. Beyonce's mother Celestine Knowles remains the owner and is seeking to make an additional $2 million off the sale.

  1. lol!

She's trying to sell a home for one million dollars in the memorial section of Houston, TX?

Most of the House of Dereon Ads were taken in this house. I see the Knowles took the furniture from their first house and left it in this second 'mansion' styled house.

Basement furniture! Is that Solange old room with the crib or did Jay-Z and Beyonce have a secret child?

    1. The house is well worth the money, considering memorial is one of the most expensive zipcodes in the nation. Moreover, most of that furniture is Marge Carson and Christopher Guy, which a single dining room chair costs around 3-4k usd and sofas in excess of 10k. I will agree with you that by memorial standards, this is no longer considered a mansion; maybe if it was 2 or 3 times the size it might be.

  4. She didn't spend her childhood in this house. She spent her life as a teenager in this house.

This is the address to the house she grew up in: 7706 Braes Meadow Dr, Houston, Harris, Texas 77071

  7. Anony 4:10 has it right. She did not grow up here. This is where they landed after her father "used her to get out of a bad situation". Good luck getting anyone to buy a home in that community; it has a few more years before it gentrifies to the population she is attempting to sell to.

    1. Haha, actually Andi the memorial area is one of the most expensive zip codes (Homes in excess of $10,000,000-$15,000,000 are quite common in the Memorial/Riveroaks area) in the nation. It is also right next to Riveroaks and Tanglewood which is home to numerous Forbes members, oil moguls, mrs. bairds bread heir, Menil/Schlumberger heir, George Bush senior, Maxwell coffee family etc... It is also right next to one of the number one private schools in the nation, a private schools tuition that costs around $30k a year. Their house is actually being sold for a very good deal considering the land it is on is alone worth $1,000,000 an acre. Its on 2.5 acres, so you do the math. It also sold very quickly (It sold on june 8th) which further reinforces my statements. Please, next time you make a comment, dont.

  8. Yep 7706 Braes Meadow is the house beyonce grew up in. It's the 4th house from the square (block). Beyonce adored that house and wish she can return but she's too famous now. When she moved to the big house, she always talked about how much she missed the house she grew up in.

    1. Haha no, this is in one of the most expensive zipcodes in that nation. However the house of dereon/solange WHATEVER lol is in the 3rd ward area about two blocks outside of downtown houston. That area however has picked up a lot in the past few years so I will not be surprised if Tina makes 2-3x their money back on the house. Which I believe they restored a historic home. I find the knowles to all be very business savvy, however I hate beyonces music.
