President Barack Obama



"...Societies are more harmonious, nations are more successful, and the world is more just when the rights and responsibilities of all nations and all people are upheld, including the universal rights of every human being...I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world, and it's good for America..." --- President Barack Obama shared during a speech as he welcomed Chinese President Hu Jintao on a state visit to the United States via Washington D.C. yesterday:



Photographers captured the United States Marines at the state arrival ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House yesterday in Washington, DC. Chinese President Hu Jintao is in the United States for a four-day state visit.



U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao walked together during the state arrival ceremony held on the South Lawn of the White House.













Figure skater Michelle Kwan, Action film star Jackie Chan, Fashion designer Vera Wang and Arthur Becker were among the attendees at the White House for the state dinner.

Musician Herbie Hancock served as the source of entertainment during the state dinner reception hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama for Chinese President Hu Jintao at the East Room of the White House.
