Republican turned Democrat Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the forehead (the bullet went straight through her brain) this morning at a scheduled meet and greet event entitled "Congress on your Corner" outside a Safeway grocery store in Tucson, Arizona. Six people are dead (including a 9 year old girl) and thirteen people are suffering from gun-shot related wounds. A physician has stated that they are optimistic that Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will recover from the bullet that penetrated "through and through" her brain.

The site was the first to state this and for several reasons.
