I've always wondered the true gender of the character spongebob. He or she has a terrible habit of pulling down his pants on the Cartoon Network. Is there a link between fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and the cartoon character Spongebob?
It's being reported that, Karl Lagerfeld has given SpongeBob a "gay" makeover:
TOY STORY: A SpongeBob SquarePants figurine given a makeover by Karl Lagerfeld (think dark shades, a towering starched collar and fingerless gloves) attracted the highest bid at a recent Paris fundraiser for WWF, generating 1,000 euros, or about $1,500 at current exchange.
Numerous local personalities had autographed iconic objects linked to the cartoon character for the auction, which altogether raised 7,000 euros or about $11,000 at current exchange, including Inès de la Fressange, French singer Patrick Bruel and Greek TV presenter Nikos Aliagas.
I believe that they use to call Karl a sponge as her grew up and placed his feminine behaviors on display.

Hint: Check the credit, when the cartoon ends. Karl wasn't born Karl Lagerfeld.
