The Soul Train Awards:


Following a two year hiatus, the Soul Train Awards will return to give recognition to those who help shape the sounds of R&B Music.

Many websites are reporting that Actors Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will co-host this award celebration.

The "Soul Train" series was created by Don Cornelius, who also served as its first host and executive producer, and aired from 1971 to 2006, with reruns continuing until 2008.

Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson will be honored during a two-hour music special that will be taped in Atlanta, Georgia and aired on Onv. 29 on Centric - a new channel jointly operated by the BET and MTV Networks divisions of Viacom.
