The popular reggae and dancehall music producer from the duo Steely and Clevie died yesterday. Many websites are reporting that he suffered from heart failure at around 5 a.m. and died at 10:32 a.m. at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Long Island, New York.
Steely Johnson suffered from diabetes and last December he was being treated for Kidney Failure. It was also reported that doctors recently removed a benign tumor from his brain that was the size of an orange and he later contracted pneumonia.
Steely aka Wycliffe Johnson and Clevie whose right name is Cleveland Browne, have worked with many popular artistes and groups such as Bounty Killer, Elephant Man and No Doubt.
