Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is officially pushed back again due to the re-release of Jay-Z's Collector's Edition of "The Blueprint".

Jay-Z has left Def Jam but the former label has decided to cash in on him - one last time. Def Jam will release The Blueprint Collector’s Edition consisting of Jigga’s first two classic albums, The Blueprint and The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse.

Much like Mariah’s collector’s set, Jay-Z’s edition will be packaged in a collectible slipcase with a poster. There will be space to insert a third CD.

The Blueprint Collector’s Edition releases September 8, three days before The Blueprint 3 arrives on September 11 through Atlantic Records.

Def Jam has axed Mariah Carey's appearances and CD release, due to the upcoming events that surrounds Jay-Z's CD releases and appearances.

According to Def Jam, the reason for Mariah Carey's delay is that Carey has not completed the album and needs to return to the studio to record additional songs. In addition, a post made on Carey's official website Thursday, confirms the news.

"Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and we have shifted all our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29."

Jermaine Dupri's recent lash out @ Def Jam has been validated.
