The Art of Giving: Kem

"I have a lot of respect for my peers making hip-hop and rap, but I think that something's been lost,....There are a lot of celebrities, but we don't have any stars. Motown had that; they had schools to learn how to dress, how to act in public, how to speak to people and do interviews." Quoting: Kem

On Aug. 30th, the award winning R&B artist Kem will travel back to his hometown of Detriot. During his visit, he has decided to give back to his community; the community that helped launch his success.

"Kem Live" is primarily a food drive, and attendees are encouraged to bring food that can be donated to area homeless shelters and food banks.

On this date, Kem will perform at no cost. In addition, there will be food, live music and a dose of spirituality.

Kem will deliver a spiritual address to the crowd, something he often incorporates into his concerts.
