Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding performed recently in her hometown at the Newmark theatre in Portland. The multi-instrumentalist set' closed out with a standing ovation. In related news, the musician was added as a performer to The Roots Annual Pinic. The 4th Annual Picnic will be held on June 4 at the Festival Pier in Philadelphia, Pa.
