Yesterday, Akon and his mother, Kine Gueye Thiam, President of the Konfidence Foundation were at Glen Haven Elementary visiting with second graders and teachers in Decatur, Georgia. The artist and members from his foundation gave out books and discussed the importance of reading in honor of NEA's Read Across America Day:
