"When I came into the industry, it was more about shock value. It was saying things that would just stand out. But I didn't want to get stuck in the pocket of somebody who just has witty lines. The metaphors are still there, I just found a way to make them unpredictable. I would hate for somebody to know what I'm going to say next, so I think it's just more of finding a not too complex, but a little more complex, way of saying the witty lines."
