R.I.P: Rodney King

At 6:11am, Rodney King was found unresponsive - at the bottom of a swimming pool in Los Angeles. Rodney was the victim of a 1991 Los Angeles videotaped police beating that caused the most destructive race riot within the United States. He was 47.

Singer: Beyonce Knowles

70 program staffers at the Gate Five company were laid off recently after Beyonce Knowles backed out of a multi-million deal to transform her signature dance moves into a video game. The singer actually published a video on youtube in support on her decision - but renege on the offer in 2010 (shortly before Christmas). Some of these programmers are speaking out and finding ways to adjust their lifestyle following the abrupt decision by the singer. Rapper: Drake

A lawyer in Manhattan is trying to prove that rapper Drake stole his Rose-Gold Rolex Presidential watch. The lawyer, James McMillam watch went missing after he dropped it off at the Jeweler Rafaello & Co (in New York City) for a cleaning. A week later he returned to pick it up and was told that his expensive watch was sold to Drake. Rapper Drake claims that "his" watch was purchased directly from Rolex and that he has never made a purchase from the Jeweler Rafaello & Co. For more, click here.

Rapper: Jay Electronica

"I’m pretty shell-shocked by everything. All I am thinking about now is my children." -Tweets Mr. Ben Goldsmith after discovering that his wife Kate Rothschilds carried on a lengthy love affair with rapper Jay Electronica. The rapper is pictured above with Mr. Goldsmith and his son (with Kate) during happier times.

She's one of those Rothschilds, and her mother was a Guinness, from the brewery family. Ben's father was a billionaire. They met in 2000, married in 2003. Their three kids are under 10. So if it's not money - yup, Ben lost it after discovering that Kate, a music producer, is fooling around with someone not quite their kind: New Orleans-born rapper Jay Electronica, born Timothy Elpardo Thedford. He has a daughter with Erykah Badu. Ben, angry after finding explicit messages from Jay on Kate's phone, apparently kicked a kid's toy, which struck Kate's leg, bruising her. She called the cops. He wasn't charged, but confirmed to the Daily Mail that he wants a divorce. Ben's 31. Kate's 30, Electronica is 35.

Farewell: Chuck Brown

The singer has performed the 3rd of her 4th scheduled concert and her fans are posting pictures directly from the concert and posting them on the web. The popular social website "Lipstick Alley" has a forum dedicated to Beyonce and the thread "Beyonce: Live at the Revel" is filled with pictures and video clips of the singer in concert. On May 25th, rapper Ray-J was spotted departing from the Emporio Armani store in Beverly Hills, California. The R&B singer was recently hospitalized for exhaustion and dehydration - following a Billboard's afterparty held last Sunday. Ray-J threw the afterparty with supermodel Sophie Monk who discovered him in his hotel room and called 911 to notified them of his health condition. Ray-J and Sophie Monk are pictured below at the "Prince Reigns" Product Launch Party that was held at the VooDoo Beach in Las Vegas.

R.I.P: Chuck Brown

Natives of the Washington D.C area is mourning the lost of one of their own: The Legendary Godfather of Go-Go Music - Chuck Brown. Questlove

Hulu has a web series entitled, "A Day In The Life" that follows well known celebrities as they task throughout the day. The first season included a feature on classical ballet dancer Misty Copeland and The Black Eyes Peas member Will.I.Am. The second season came to a close with a feature on The Roots frontman Questlove. During the season finale, Questlove allowed the crew to film him on set of the Jimmy Fallon Show and also during a DJ gig in New York. Rapper: G.Dep

Former Bad Boy rap artist G-Dep will spend the rest of his life in Jail. In 2010, shortly before Christmas - G-Dep (real name Travelle Coleman) walked into a police precinct in Harlem and confessed his involvement in a 1993 murder plot. After a short trial, jurors delivered their verdict today and reportedly, the rapper was found guilty and will served a sentenced of 15 years to life in prison.

R&B singer Kelly Rowland is planning to launch her own line of watches under the Dutch brand "TW Steel". The singer was pictured above at a promotion event held on April 18th. Reportedly, "she recently selected two watches for her launch. The watches are said to be heavy on blue and pink with cubic zircornia and mother of pearl dial options. The casing is made with TW Steel's AA-grade steel rose gold plating". Kelly's first watch will hit stores sometime in June 2012.

Kobe, Vanessa and their two daughters were spotted at the Los Angeles vs. Vancouver Canucks NHL playoff game yesterday. This recent outing has lead many to believe that these two are planning to get back together. Vanessa filed for divorce from Kobe back in December..and the request remains active. Kobe has been placed on the injured list with the Lakers and missed five games - so far. As a result, he has more time to spend with his family.
